CHOLESTEROLOSIS (STRAWBERRY GALLBLADDER)

• Cholecystoses is a group of chronic inflammtory gallbladder disorder (cholesterosis, polyposis, adenomyomatosis)
• Strawberry gallbladder is caused by deoposition of cholesterol ester and triglyceride in epithelial macrophages of gallbladder.
• Gallbladder appears like strawberry in patients.
• It is acquired condition
• Presence of cholesterol stone and polyp.
• Yellow specks (submucus aggregation of cholesterol crystal and esters present)

  

 

 

TREATMENT-

• Laproscopic cholecystectomy
