Pemphigus vulgaris :
It is the most common type of pemphigus.
Autoimmune blistering disorder with IgG autoantibodies against Dsg (Desmogleins) , which is a desmosomal protein present in desmosomes /intercellular substances leading to separation of keratinocytes .
Affects 40 years ,starts as buccal mucosal erosions followed by superficial &
flaccid vesicles and bullae.
Pruritus is absent. Acantholysis is seen.
Row of tombstones appearance seen in Histopath examination.
Immunofluorescence shows intercellular IgG deposition in epidermis in a Fishnet pattern .
