Drugs to prevent Pregnancy Induced hypertension

1. Best- Aspirin (↓ Thromboxane A2)

2. Dose of Asprin-50-150 mg/day @ 12-28 weeks (if pt. develops PIH then continue throughout pregnancy

3. Heparin & Aspirin

4. Ca2+ supplementation if it is ↓

5. Regular exercise

→ Following has No role in preventing PIH: –

1. Bed Rest

2. Diet Salt restriction

3. Supplementation of Fish oil

4. Supplementation of antioxidants

5. Low dose Heparin alone

6. Supplementation of Vitamin C, D and E
