Chloroma
CHLOROMA
- Also called as myeloblastoma, granulocytic sarcoma.
- It is a localised tumour forming mass occurring in the skin of orbital & periorbital tissue due to infiltration of tissues by leukemic cells.
- It is hematopoietic stem cell tumour.
- Most commonly associated with t (8: 21) & AML M2.
Etiology-
- Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)
- Myeloproliferative syndrome (MPS)
Pathogenesis-
- Arbiskov cells are monocytes seen in myeloblastoma.
Clinical features-
- Most commonly involved areas are skin & gums, orbit of eyes.
- Gum hypertrophy



Diagnosis-
- Biopsy
Treatment–
- Chemotherapy
- Surgery
- Radiation therapy
