RADIAL NERVE
RADIAL NERVE:-
INTRODUCTION:
- Derived from C5,6,7,8, T1
- Largest branch of brachial plexus & arises from the posterior cord of brachial plexus.
- In the lower part of axilla, the third part of the axillary artery is related anterior to the radial Nerve.
- The lower lateral cutaneous nerve of the arm supplies the skin covering the lower half of the deltoid and upper part of the long head of the triceps.
- Ulnar collateral branch of the radial nerve accompany the ulnar nerve in tha arm Et supplies the medial head of the triceps.
- It lies in spiral groove of humerus.
SUPPLIES:
- Extensor compartment of arm, forearm (skin)
- Triceps
- Anconeus and extensors of forearm. Extension of MCP joint

MUSCULAR INNERVATIONS:
Medial Muscular Branch:
- Supplies medial head of the Triceps brachii(lies close to the ulnar nerve so k/a the ulnar collateral nerve).
Posterior Muscular Branch:
- Supplies the medial and lateral heads of the Triceps brachii and the Anconeus muscles.
Lateral Muscular Branch:
- The lateral muscular branches supplyies Brachioradialis, Extensor carpi radialis longus, and the lateral part of the Brachialis.
