Axilla:
- Contains axillary vessels, infraclavicular part of brachial plexus & its branches, lateral branches of some intercostal nerves, many lymph nodes and vessels, loose adipose areolar tissue and, in many instances, the `axillary tail’ of the breast.
- Axillary vessels & brachial plexus run from apex to base along lateral wall, near to anterior wall.
- Axillary vein is anteromedial to artery.
